End of an Era

Seems like Skyla wants to head into toddlerhood at 7.5 months. Ever since she got back from Vegas she's been crawling and standing all the time and messing with everything from the dishes on the table to the books in the bookcase. She has alot of fun just being mobile and doesn't give a damn about the overpriced "entertainment center" seat-thing we got her, she also dispises the playpen. She gets all her entertainment from being free and picking up objects she's not supposed to, reminding us everyday we need to proof this place and pick up all our crap! Who needs toys when the sliding glass door is so much fun.

Funny Face

I can tell the LuvBaby's got jokes, she just can't tell it to us yet. (unless you can decipher UHHHHHs and Waaaaahs). Sometimes we are in a crowded place and she looks at everyone, then looks at me and we both smile our mischievous smiles at each other. My bro and I used to do that, which got us into alot of trouble cuz we'd start laughing uncontrollably in elevators, during peoples weddings or during dinners--all at the expense of others (mostly my dad's friend's looking funny). It's fun to laugh at adults with her (she doesn't realize yet I'm one of them too! ).

First Raiders Game!

Skyla and I sat down for her first Raiders game this Sunday. Unfortunately, after a valiant comeback, the Raiders fell 36-21 to the mighty Lions of Detroit, a true juggernaut of footballdom

The comeback left her a little worn out...

Future Techno Savant

We've bought so many toys but invariably she just wants a remote, a cell phone or to bang on a keyboard. She has somehow discovered a shortcut key to rebooting my computer that even I don't know about! Keep it up, little lady, keep it up...

The Adventures of a Foodie

Skyla started eating solids last month...

But it didn't take long for her to start craving flesh...

Vegas Baby

We went to Vegas last week and had a real wild time. Surprisingly Vegas is pretty baby friendly, with alot of sights and sounds. We stayed at the Bellagio and they were nice enough to get me a fridge to store all the baby's foodstuffs- I was starting to empty out their minibar when I realized that it was computerized, hopefully they are not charging me for all the booze I moved, besides that the stay was enjoyable but man did we pack alot of things! We actually needed a bellhop! But our girl came home a changed little lady, all grown up--during the trip Skyla started standing in her crib and took up gambling.

We thought we had a couple months left of a stationary baby!

Ps: Skyla also witnessed her first lunar eclipse 3am on Tuesday 8/28!
